What is Tooth Bonding?

Tooth bonding is the application of a tooth colored composite resin to repair a decayed, chipped, fractured or discolored tooth. Bonding, unlike other cosmetic procedures, can be done in a single visit to the dentist.

Bonding is among the easiest and least expensive of all cosmetic procedures. Bonding is used for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of discolored or chipped teeth. It may be used to fill in spaces between teeth, to make teeth look longer, or to change the shape or color of teeth. Bonding may be a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings, or to protect a portion of the tooth’s root that has been exposed when gums recede.

The whole procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour, and will be completed in one visit. Your dentist will work to choose the best shape, length, and color that will fit to your mouth appropriately. Afterwards, your dentist will polish and clean that tooth in order to make it blend in well with the rest of your mouth!

Quick, easy, and affordable; Tooth Bonding is as simple as that!
